Muti is a term derived from a Zulu word for tree.

African traditional medicine makes extensive use of botanical products but the medicine prescribed by an inyanga may also include other formulations which are zoological or mineral in composition.

Cold and flu

Elderflower and Yarrow

Mix Elderflower and Yarrow to make a wonderful tea for all cold and flu symptoms.

Mix the herbs and drink 1 teaspoon in a cup 3 times a day.
Mouth Ulcers

1 Teaspoon of Sage leaf in a cup of boiling water.
